David and his family reside in Austin, Texas where Ja-Mar Roofing & Sheet Metal has been based for more than 50 years. He is proud to be at a company that has obtained the exclusive status of Master Elite Roofing Contractor for GAF Materials Corporation, a status only 3% of roofing contractors in the U.S. have achieved.
James started J&J Roofing in 1961 and built it into the company Ja-Mar is today. His vision and standards still define how we operate more than 60 years later.
Marlyn has been the organizational backbone of Ja-Mar since the beginning, ensuring quality and consistency across every project and client relationship.
Kenedee manages the day-to-day business operations that keep Ja-Mar running smoothly across all of our Texas locations.
Isabella supports the Austin office operations, coordinating between clients, consultants, and the broader Ja-Mar team.
Kim keeps Ja-Mar’s financial operations running smoothly, supporting every branch with accurate and timely accounting work.
Rachel supports the accounting team with day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative tasks that keep the business organized.
Megan manages incoming leads and scheduling, making sure every prospective client connects with the right consultant quickly.
Wendy coordinates production scheduling and resources, helping keep projects on track from start to finish.

- James McKinney begins planning to start a company to serve his community in New Orleans, Louisiana.
- James McKinney starts his first roofing business with partner James Parker in New Orleans, named J&J Roofing.
- Worked in storm damage restoration across the Midwestern United States.
- James McKinney becomes sole owner of J&J Roofing from 1963 onward.
- James moves to Austin, TX, and establishes J&J Roofing as an Austin company (1969).
- Over several years, J&J Roofing grows to become the premier roofing company for many home builders in Austin.
- James partners with Don Barker to form Bar-Mac Roofing & Sheet Metal (1975).
- Partnership with Don Barker lasts two years before James goes back to doing business as J&J Roofing.
