David Phillips, president and CEO of Ja-Mar Roofing & Sheet Metal, and James McKinney, the founder and now senior consultant of the company, have a combined total of more than 60 years in the roofing business. They both learned the roofing trade from their fathers when they were young.
RCAT’s mission is to help its members operate successfully by providing up-to-date continuing education, technical research data, industry contacts, consumer help and a forum for governmental and public relations.
Ja-Mar Roofing has served Austin, Texas since 1970. For more than 38 years they have provided professionally certified experience in the roofing industry, and today they continue to grow during these tough economic times! On December 1st, 2008, Ja-Mar Roofing acquired River City Roofing, which was founded in 1971 by Wilson Thompson. Mr. Thompson passed on the business to his grandson-in-law Daniel McCoy (no relation to our Longhorn Quarterback favorite Colt McCoy) in 2005.
