Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt

This new construction project involved multiple trades and several phases of roofing work on a 16-story hotel in downtown Austin. As with many projects in the heart of the city, accessibility and material handling were major considerations throughout construction.

Ja-Mar Roofing & Sheet Metal installed a Carlisle 60 Mil TPO roofing system along with MBCI FW120 wall panels across approximately 24,000 square feet. Coordinating our work around the other trades and the ongoing construction schedule required careful planning throughout each phase of the project.

After our initial installation was complete, the roof sustained damage caused by other trades working on the building. Our crews returned through several rounds of repairs to address the third-party damage and make sure the completed system met Carlisle’s requirements before the final warranty inspection.

The finished roof ultimately secured a Carlisle 20 Year Golden Seal Total Roofing System Warranty and became part of the Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt, a distinctive addition to the collection of boutique hotels in downtown Austin.
