About Phil
Phil Gustafson joined Ja-Mar Roofing & Sheet Metal in 2026 as a Commercial Roofing Consultant serving the Highland Lakes and Coastal Bend regions, bringing 15 years of industry experience with a specialty in low-slope and flat roofing systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, giving him a technical, systems-based approach to evaluating commercial roofing projects.
Since 2008, Phil has focused specifically on commercial roofing consulting, with extensive experience in high wind and hail resistant applications. Over the course of his career, he has installed more than 13 million square feet of roofing, giving him a depth of hands-on experience across large-scale commercial projects that few consultants can match.
His main area of expertise is low-slope and flat roofing systems. Phil brings an engineering mindset to every project, focusing on the technical details that determine how a commercial roof will perform against Texas weather over the long term.
