About Bill
Bill Stevenson came to Ja-Mar Roofing & Sheet Metal through an unlikely path: 17 years in the music industry. During that time, he professionally played bass for a couple of international touring acts, giving him a front row seat to help sculpt artist marketing pushes on a major scale. In between album cycles, he did contract work on houses and studios, taking on flooring, framing, drywall, insulation, decks, and soundproofing.
In the music industry, Bill worked not only as a performer but also as a radio promotions consultant. He partnered with entities including Universal Records, Rough Trade Publishing, and C3 Presents, as well as independent labels, artists, venues, promoters, talent buyers, and radio stations. He enjoyed plugging in but also helping artists tell their story, sell tickets, and secure sponsorships for performances. That itinerant career instilled in him a strong sense for production, performance execution, and communication, skills that now shape how he approaches every roofing project.
In his free time, Bill likes to squirrel away in his home studio, spend time with his fiancé, cook, work in the yard, and hang out with his dogs.
